Clipping means turning a creator's long-form videos into short clips that you post on your own social account and earn from based on the views they get. To start: download the app, connect a social account, join a creator's program or an Open Clips pool, then submit your first clip.

Step 1: Download the app

Clippers is available on iOS and Android. Download it and create your account with your email address.

Step 2: Connect a social account

After signing up, connect at least one social account (TikTok is recommended to start). Go to Profile → Social accounts and tap Connect. We use each platform's official login flow — we never see your password.

Step 3: Find a program to clip for

Browse the Discover tab to find creators and campaigns worth clipping. Think about your niche — gaming, comedy, beauty, sports — and pick programs whose audience overlaps with yours. Clips that fit an audience tend to travel further.

Step 4: Request to join

Tap Apply on a program and write a short note explaining why you'd be a good fit. Link one or two of your strongest clips. Some programs accept everyone automatically; others review each request.

Step 5: Make and post your clip

Find a moment worth cutting, edit it tight, add captions, and post it to your connected account. Keep it short — most strong clips land between 15 and 45 seconds — and make the first two seconds earn attention.

Step 6: Submit the clip

Back in the app, open Submit, choose the program, and paste the public URL of the clip you posted.

Step 7: Track performance

Your clips and their view counts appear in the Clips tab. Metrics refresh regularly as the platform syncs with the social network.

Step 8: Get paid

Add your payout details in Profile → Payout before the settlement runs. Earnings accumulate as your clips gather views.

What actually determines what you earn

Two things: how many views your clips get, and the rate set by the program you clipped for. More views on a program with a higher rate means more earnings. That's the whole model — there's no hidden scoring you need to game.

Earnings note: what you earn depends on the views your clips receive and each program's rate. There is no guaranteed amount, and results vary from person to person. This is not financial advice.

How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. Joining as a clipper is free.
Which platforms can I post clips on?
TikTok is live today. YouTube Shorts and Instagram support are on the way.
