Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, connect social media accounts, or contact us for support. Account information: email address, username, password (hashed), and profile photo. Social account data: when you connect TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, we receive your public profile information, follower count, and video performance data via their official APIs. We encrypt and store OAuth tokens securely. Payment information: PayPal email address for payout processing. We do not store full payment credentials. Usage data: how you interact with the App, device type, and approximate location (country/region).

We use your information to: operate and improve the Clippers platform; process clip submissions and calculate performance scores; distribute monthly payouts; send you notifications about your clips and earnings; detect and prevent fraudulent activity; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When you connect a social media account, we access performance data (views, likes, comments, shares) for clips you submit through our platform only. We access this data via official APIs and comply with each platform's developer policies. TikTok data is accessed under TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API terms. YouTube data is accessed under YouTube's Data API terms. You can disconnect any social account at any time from your profile settings.

We share your data with: Creators: creators whose programs you join can see your social account stats, clip performance, and username. Payment processors: PayPal receives your PayPal email address to facilitate payouts. Service providers: we use trusted third-party services for hosting (Supabase), analytics, and email communications. Law enforcement: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Performance data for clips may be retained in an anonymized form for platform analytics.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including AES-256 encryption for OAuth tokens, TLS in transit, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your profile information within the App or contact us at privacy@clippers.app to exercise any of these rights. You can disconnect social accounts, update your payment information, or delete your account at any time from the App settings.

Clippers is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at privacy@clippers.app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Your continued use of Clippers after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
